AngelouEconomics Continues to Grow

Adriana Cruz joins AE as Project Marketing Manager

Austin, Texas, October 3, 2005 – Austin-based AngelouEconomics, the largest independent economic development consulting firm in the U.S., is pleased to announce the addition of Adriana Cruz to their growing team. Ms. Cruz will serve as Project Marketing Manager where she will lead the firm’s economic development marketing plans and marketing implementation projects for clients.

"As Project Marketing Manager, and with her previous years of experience marketing the state of Texas both domestically and internationally, Adriana will provide a key service to our community and corporate clients."

Adriana Cruz brings over 15 years of marketing, advertising and public relations experience with 10 years experience specializing in economic development marketing. Prior to joining AE, Adriana was Director of Marketing for the Office of the Governor of Texas, Economic Development and Tourism division, where she was responsible for the development of marketing strategies designed to attract businesses to the state. During her time with the Governor’s Office, she organized special events for the Governor focusing on promoting Texas and worked with international and domestic media on development of articles and special sections featuring Texas. She oversaw creative development for the “Texas Wide Open for Business” branding campaign and for the “Moving to Texas” billboard, print and TV campaign. She also assisted in the development of TexasOneSM, the public-private entity that raises the funds needed for the state marketing programs.

Adriana serves as a member of the Texas Economic Development Council, a steering committee member of Team Texas, a board member of the Japan America Society of Greater Austin and served for four years on the Texas Main Street Interagency Council.
