IMMEDIATE OPENING:  Project Manager - AngelouEconomics is currently seeking an experienced professional to manage and lead community strategic planning projects. The candidate will be responsible for conceptualizing and presenting proposals, organizing projects, managing subcontractors, interacting with clients, leading focus groups and interviews, developing improvement recommendations, and writing economic development strategic plans. 

Requirements:  Candidates should have a minimum of three years project management experience in the economic development field and a Master's Degree in Planning, Economics, Business, Public Policy, or related.  A lack of graduate degree will require the ability to present samples and references of additional and equivalent work experience. Strong written and communication skills are essential, including the ability to facilitate interviews and focus groups.  Knowledge of the technology industry, public policy, and marketing will be helpful. The best applicants will be those individuals comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment, self-starters, and creative thinkers. Consulting experience is a plus. Travel will be required.  Salary range is $60,000 - $80,000 and dependent on experience and qualifications.

IMMEDIATE OPENING:  Associate Project Manager - Associate Project Managers (APMs) analyze demographic, economic, and business trends to create growth strategies for our public and private sector clients. Tasks include data collection, analysis, report writing, and presentation development to support community economic development projects. Individual management of smaller research-based projects will also be available for Associate PMs. The position offers opportunity for advancement within the company. Position is based in Austin, TX.

Requirements: A Master's Degree and in Community Planning, Economics, Business, Public Policy, or related field is required. Some travel will be required. Marketing Internship - AngelouEconomics is seeking qualified candidates to fill available internships in marketing communications.  Interns will assist with the full scope of marketing communications activities, including but not limited to assisting with the development of marketing materials, event planning, online market research, mailing lists management, data entry, and the collection and analysis of online surveys. Requirements:  Candidates should be a junior or senior majoring in marketing, advertising, PR, or communications. An economics or business foundations background is a plus but not required. Strong writing skills are a requirement and writing samples will be requested. 

Candidates should be familiar with Microsoft Office as well as with graphics software such as the Adobe suite among others.  Knowledge of web design software is also a plus but not required.  The position will require 15-20 hours per week with flexible shifts.

 

Research Internship - Part-time research internships available for the Fall semester.  Interns will analyze economic and business trends to create growth strategies for our public sector clients.  Can focus on economics or industry research, depending on interests.  Heavy data collection, manipulation, and presentation to support Project Managers.  Must be able to write clearly and manage projects to meet deadlines.
