Angelos
Angelou, Principle Executive Officer
Mr.
Angelos Angelou is the Founder and Principle Executive Officer of AngelouEconomics
bringing over 20 years of experience in economic development and site
selection. Having spent 11 years with the Greater Austin Chamber of Commerce,
Angelos brings a practitioner's approach to AE's economic development
team. During his time at the Chamber, Angelos was responsible for the
recruitment of 400 technology companies and some 70,000 employees, including,
Tokyo Electron, Motorola, AMD, Cypress Semiconductor, Applied Materials,
Samsung, and Sematech. As a result, he has worked with major corporate
clients domestically and internationally, and has carried much of that
client base with him into private practice. A highly visible leader in
the field of economic development across the U.S., Angelos is widely regarded
as the chief architect in the establishment of Austin as a high tech center.
Because his expertise is in the technology economy and global economic
development issues, the national media regularly seeks his comments and
insights.
Angelos
holds an M. A. Economics cum laude from St. Mary's University in San Antonio;
B.A. in Economics, University of Texas at San Antonio. Angelos is
on the Board of several organizations, including International Economic
Development Council (IEDC), World Congress on Information Technology (Austin
2006), Treaty Oak Bank, and St. Edward’s University.
Zachary Lynde, Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Zachary Lynde is the Chief Executive Officer of AngelouEconomics bringing over 15 years of experience in leading growing technology and service companies. His role provides systems and leadership to AngelouEconomics leading the way for the company to open offices in Dubai and Shanghai while further developing the AE name as a world leading consultancy in economic development and site selection. Prior to joining the AE team, Zachary brought both financial and leadership experience to his role as the CFO for TriFusion where he spearheaded efforts to capture and maintain their record growth. Zachary was also the Founder and CEO of the Zachary Consulting Group, a successful business consulting group based in Austin. His various leadership roles include: General Partner in Z², Ltd.; General Partner for Gendeavor Consulting Group, LLC; CFO of American YouthWorks; COO of Logical Approach, LLC; VP of Marketing and Sales for Austin Wood Recycling; Executive Director for The Institute to End School Violence; and a Management Consultant for KPMG for five years in the Austin, Texas office.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Austin College and has an MBA from the Acton School of Entrepreneurship where he was named an Acton Scholar.
Bob
Farley, President of Economic Development
As President of Economic Development, Mr. Bob Farley leads AngelouEconomics'
economic development department, including activities in the areas of
strategic planning, economic research, entrepreneurship and R&D, workforce
development, and marketing. Bob has extensive experience in economic development
and has worked with notable communities and companies around the world.
Most recently, Bob served as the President and CEO of Team NEO (Team Northeast
Ohio) where he was responsible for generating job and wage growth programs
and coordinating a regional voice to advocate improvements in the physical
and human infrastructure. Prior to Team NEO, Bob was the Executive Vice
President for the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce where he directed all
corporate recruitment activity focused on sectors in aerospace, biomedical,
financial services, and the logistics industry. Bob also helped establish
a new consulting division for Hillwood Development Corporation, which
develops and owns commercial, industrial, and residential properties and
is ranked as one of the top 10 developers in the country. Hillwood, a
Perot Company, is recognized for its high-profile projects and public-private
ventures and is best known for its development of AllianceTexas and the
$420 million American Airlines Center and Victory district in downtown
Dallas. From 1990 to 1998, Bob was a senior manager/partner in Fantus
Consulting where he worked with corporate clients such as Porsche Cars
NA and with economic development clients such as the states of Michigan
and New Jersey and the city of Miami, Florida. Finally, Bob was the deputy
director of the State of Texas where he was instrumental in establishing
the state's first Department of Commerce and was responsible for developing
the first Texas Strategic Economic Plan and targeted industry analysis.
Bob holds a Masters
Degree from both the LBJ School and the McCombs School of Business from
the University of Texas at Austin. He also holds a Bachelors Degree
from Syracuse University where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
Jim Colson, President, Site Selection
Mr. Jim Colson is AngelouEconomics’ President of Site Selection, has been an economic development practitioner for more than 20 years, and brings an incredible reputation. During his vast career, he has held executive positions for New Mexico Partnership, Greater Phoenix Economic Council, Arizona Department of Commerce, and the University of Michigan’s Industrial Development Division. These roles, among others, has attributed to Jim’s experience successfully working on more than 800 economic development and site selection projects. As example, while Director of Economic Development for the City of Glendale (AZ), he played a lead role in the recruitment of the NHL Phoenix Coyotes, NFL Arizona Cardinals, and Bechtel Corporation. Beyond his experience as an economic development practitioner, before he was recruited to lead AE’s site selection team, Jim was founder of Growing Economies International, a site location and advisory firm with both national and international clients. As a result of his experience, Jim serves as panelist and keynote on many federal and international growth conferences and was decorated as Economic Developer of the Year in 2002 for his work in Arizona.

Ali
Cumber, Regional Director, Middle East
Mr. Ali Cumber serves as a Regional Director at AngelouEconomics, specializing
in the Middle East and South Asia. He has expertise in the creation of
sustainable growth mechanisms for developed countries, and the organization
of financial and value added sectors of newly industrialized countries.
He is currently overseeing the development of projects in the United Arab
Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. Ali's previous work
with AngelouEconomics includes the calculation of population forecasts
for the redevelopment of the Mississippi Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina,
as well as an evaluation of a Technology Park site in the State of Washington.
Prior to joining AngelouEconomics, Ali provided enterprise support to
a micro credit initiative in West Africa. In addition to the Arab Gulf
States and South Asia, he has experience in El Salvador, England, Ghana,
and Spain.
Ali
received a B.A. in Economics with a concentration in International Development
from Boston University. He speaks English, Spanish, Urdu, and conversational
Arabic. He will be establishing AngelouEconomics Middle East office later
this year.

Katie
Bullard, Senior Project Manager
Ms. Katie Bullard serves as Senior Project Manager at AngelouEconomics where she adds a diverse background in urban planning, site selection, and finance to the project team. She has managed the development of numerous strategic plans, including ones for Tacoma, Washington; Greater New Orleans; Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Harris County (Houston), Texas; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and Jacksonville, Florida. Katie has published four articles while at AE on topics of retail site selection, the importance of young professionals in economic development, universities' role in economic development, and economic development opportunities for U.S. Mega-Regions. She is frequent speaker on these topics as well. Prior to joining AngelouEconomics, Katie was a Senior Real Estate Strategy Analyst for Circuit City Stores, Inc., where she advised executive management on real estate site selection, sales forecasting, and investment return. Her experience also includes several years as the Budget Director for the City of Charlottesville, Virginia, where she earned the city its first national budgeting award in 5 years.
Katie received both her Bachelor of City Planning (with high honors) and Master of Urban & Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia, where she was awarded the American Institute of Certified Planners' Outstanding Student Award.

Ben
Loftsgaarden, Senior Project Manager
Mr. Ben Loftsgaarden serves as Senior Project Manager at AngelouEconomics where
he brings expertise in fields as diverse as energy and high technology.
This experience gives him the perspective to understand the theoretical
challenges facing high impact industries. He is currently managing projects in Nevada and Lubbock, Texas. Ben's previous projects include economic development plans
for two entities in the northern Nevada region; Mooresville, North Carolina;
Charleston, South Carolina; the Hampton Roads region of Virginia; and
Manchester, New Hampshire. Ben conducted a workforce development strategy
for the Greater Cleveland Partnership and an economic diversification/redevelopment
plan for SPAWAR, the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in
Charleston, during the 2005 round of BRAC. Finally, Ben has conducted
economic impact studies for the Cleveland Clinic and the Texas Energy
Center in Houston.
Ben received a M.B.A.
with honors from The University of Texas at Austin. He also earned a B.S.
in bioengineering from The University of Pennsylvania.

Kerry
Doyle Raminiak, Project Manager / Marketing Strategist
Ms. Kerry Doyle Raminiak serves as the Marketing Strategist for
AngelouEconomics where she provides expertise in integrated marketing
strategies including branding, advertising, collateral development, public
relations, tradeshows, Web representation, assessment, and plan writing.
An excellent match to AE's economic development strategies, Kerry has
built a career around devising and actualizing holistic campaigns designed
to create impact, specializing in entrepreneurial demographics and the
technology sector. Kerry has created marketing plans for projects in Chattanooga,
Tennessee; Duval County, Florida; and Northern Nevada and has implemented the creative and production of marketing materials including websites, brand identities, and collateral for Lubbock, Texas;
Laurens County, Georgia; and Louisiana's I-12 Alliance. Before joining AngelouEconomics, Kerry was launching
brands and executing international programs on behalf of system integrators,
audiovisual engineers, IT consultants and commercial technology products.
Previous to that, she thrived "agency-side" within broadcast
and marketing firms in California writing, designing and implementing
internal and external campaigns on behalf of clients including the San
Francisco Giants, the Oakland Raiders, the Presidio of San Francisco,
Blue Shield of California as well as serving as promotional lead for the
innovative music-marketing tours for American Honda Corporation's Civic,
Element and Acura.
Kerry holds a B.S. from
Towson University of Baltimore, Maryland and a M.A. from Pepperdine University
of Malibu, California, both in Marketing Communications.

Danny
Klingler, Project Manager
Mr. Danny Klingler is a Project Manager at AngelouEconomics where
he provides research, analysis, target industry development, and economic
development planning support to the firm's project management staff. He
also provides data analysis and technical support for economic impact,
real estate, and forecasting projects. Danny's recent work includes data
center evaluations for communities across the U.S.; an economic impact
report for the Oklahoma State University System; and project support in
the development of a comprehensive economic development strategic plan
for the city of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He has also worked on an industrial
real estate market forecast, a biotechnology feasibility study, and a
freight and rail market analysis. While at AngelouEconomics, Danny has
published a series of articles on the promise of academic tech transfer
in economic development. Before joining AngelouEconomics, Danny
worked for NOAH in East Boston, where he provided real estate development
and project management services. While at MIT, Danny worked on a business
district revitalization strategy for the Roslindale Village Main Streets
Program, and performed research on the economic feasibility of historic
preservation.
Danny holds a Master
in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where
he specialized in real estate and economic development. Danny also has
a B.A. in Psychology and Philosophy from Manchester College.
Justin
Sabrsula, Associate Project Manager
Mr. Justin Sabrsula is an Associate Project Manager at AngelouEconomics where
he provides research and economic development planning support to the
firm's project management staff. Justin is responsible for collecting
and compiling data for the community assessment report, identifying current
and future target industry clusters, and providing support in the development
of community improvement recommendations and implementation strategies.
Justin is currently working on economic development studies in Harris
County (Houston), Texas and Spring Branch, Texas. While at AngelouEconomics,
he has co-published an article with Trade & Industry Development magazine
titled "Empires of the Mind - Education, Research, and Commercialization:
the Building Blocks of Biotechnology" and has also written on the
opportunities within the Alternative Energy industry. Prior to joining
AngelouEconomics, Justin provided environmental and chemical consulting
services to clients in North Carolina, Texas, Mississippi, and Washington,
D.C. He also served as a teaching assistant for the Department of City
& Regional Planning at the University of North Carolina teaching Microeconomics,
and created and taught a class entitled "Sustainable Cities: Creating
Healthy Places, Communities, and Environments" at Duke University.
Justin has a Master
of Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
and a B.A. in Public Policy from Duke University.

John
Rees, Associate Project Manager
Mr. John Rees is an Associate Project Manager at AngelouEconomics where he
provides research and economic development planning support to the firm's
project management staff. John is responsible for collecting and compiling
data for the community assessment report, as well as identifying current
and future target industry clusters. He will also work closely with the
project managers to develop community improvement recommendations and
implementation strategies. John is currently providing project support
for economic development plans in Houston, Texas, and the Atlanta University
Center. While at AngelouEconomics, he has co-published an article with
Trade & Industry Development magazine titled "Empires of the
Mind - Education, Research, and Commercialization: the Building Blocks
of Biotechnology." Prior to joining AngelouEconomics, John worked
for Jordan, Jones, & Goulding, an engineering and planning firm in Atlanta
where he provided economic research and data collection. He has also worked
for Enterprise Community Partners, one of the leading advocates for federal
and local policy in support of affordable housing and community development.
While at Enterprise, John assisted in Federal Urban Revitalization Program
implementation and evaluated the progress of mortgage assistance programs.
Finally, while at the Georgia Institute of Technology, John researched
natural hazards for the Center for GIS and developed predictive measures
for natural hazard mitigation efforts.
John holds an M.A.
in City and Regional Planning from Georgia Institute of Technology. He
also earned both a B.A. in Journalism and a B.S. in Psychology from the
University of Georgia.

Jeremy Zaborowski, Associate Project Manager
Mr. Jeremy Zaborowski is an Associate Project Manager at AngelouEconomics where he provides research, site selection, and economic development planning support to the firm's project management staff. Jeremy is responsible for collecting and compiling data for community assessment reports, identifying current and future target industry clusters, and providing support in the development of community improvement recommendations and implementation strategies. Jeremy is currently working on economic development and impact studies in College Station, Texas, Tacoma, Washington, and Houston, Texas. Prior to joining AngelouEconomics, Jeremy provided economic and community development consulting services to clients in New York and Pennsylvania. He also served as a research assistant for the Department of City & Regional Planning at Cornell University, studying environmental systems job clusters in and around Syracuse and providing a population and industry analysis for Schuyler County, NY. While at Cornell, Jeremy acted as Atkinson-Tetreault Fellow, sponsored by the Telluride Association and the Department of City and Regional Planning, and worked as a Clarence S. Stein Research Fellow.
Jeremy earned his Masters of Regional Planning at Cornell University and his B.A. in Philosophy and Sociology at Houghton College both in New York.
Emily Anderson, Internal Sales & Marketing
Ms. Emily Anderson serves as Internal Sales & Marketing Manager for AngelouEconomics, where she relies on her experience in writing, communication, and economic development to cultivate client relationships. Emily writes the firm’s project proposals, which communicate AE’s broad range of services and experience to both public and private sector clients. Her other activities include managing business prospect activity and generating new leads. Prior to joining the AE team, Emily worked in Community Development at Avenue Community Development Corporation in Houston, Texas and in real estate development and funding at Foundation Communities in Austin, Texas. She also worked in research and database management at the University of Texas School of Architecture.
Emily is a member of the American Planning Association and holds a B.P.A. in Public Administration from Texas State University, where she graduated magna cum laude, and a Master of Science in Community and Regional Planning from the University of Texas at Austin, where she specialized in community and economic development.
