The City of Taylor will receive three reports from AE through this planning process. AE will provide the City with the following reports:
- Historical Development Analysis
- Economic Base Analysis
- Economic Development and Marketing Plan
AE will also lead a project Roll-out event with the City of Taylor to unveil the new Economic Development and
Marketing Plan. The entire community should plan to attend. The event date and location will be announced in March 2004.
All reports will be posted to this Web site as they are completed and viewed by the Taylor Economic Development Advisory Committee. All citizens and business leaders in Taylor are encouraged to read the reports.
The first two reports, the Historical Development Analysis and Economic Base Analysis evaluate past and current efforts. In the Historical Development Analysis, AE will summarize the factors, which have contributed to the present development of the economy, physical growth of the community, and Taylor’s relationship with the region. The Economic Base Analysis report
will provide an overview of Taylor’s economic and demographic profile, including an industry assessment barrier analysis, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT), and impact study of the Taylor county park.
The final report, called the Economic Development and Marketing Plan will be a roadmap for Taylor’s economic development leaders. This plan will contain practical recommendations to improve education, workforce development programs, entrepreneur and small business resources, infrastructure, and marketing.
