In 2004, the Tullahoma Industrial Development Board hired AE to create a Five-Year Economic Development Strategy for the City. Tullahoma, Tennessee, is located 75 miles south of Nashville and 80 miles northwest of Chattanooga. The city lies in the heart of Tennessee’s large automotive and aerospace industries. Tullahoma is home to Arnold Engineering Development Center at Arnold Air Force Base, which houses the world’s largest and most complex collection of flight simulation test and technology facilities. Additionally, Tullahoma is home to the University of Tennessee Space Institute. Tullahoma received a plan that will guide business retention, recruitment, and job-creation for the next five years.
