The Port of Benton selection committee sought out a nationally recognized consulting firm to create a strategy to
develop the Research District based on its unique research, educational, and physical assets. As a result of that search, the committee selected AngelouEconomics, the leader in technology-based economic
development planning.
The AngelouEconomics team will visit the region several times during the middle of 2005, meeting with the region’s
government, business, education, and community leaders. The team will analyze the information gathered in these meetings along with statistical data that is being collected. AngelouEconomics will review
the economic assets of the Research District and identify specific industries that the District should target. The plan will offer land use recommendations for preparing the District for those industries, and a
marketing plan for attracting businesses.
