AngelouEconomics was hired by the City of Taylor, Texas, to develop an economic development and marketing plan for the city. Taylor is a Main Street community located 25-miles north of Austin that has experienced tremendous growth in the past 10-years. The economic development project was a component of the Comprehensive Plan, funded by the Office of Rural Community Affairs (ORCA). The project resulted in a five-year plan for sparking new economic growth in the city and its downtown. The final strategy included a downtown plan for Taylor and recommendations for improving education, workforce development programs, entrepreneur and small business resources, infrastructure, and marketing.
