AngelouEconomics was hired to assess the feasibility of building a meeting center in Williamson County, Texas. Interviews were conducted with large employers in the area to gauge their present and future needs for meeting space. We also conducted interviews with existing meeting facilities in the region to gauge current demand, occupancy rates, services offered, and size of existing conference rooms and facilities.

After assessing all the data involved, it is clear that Williamson County was underserved in terms of meeting space available to the region. With the large population base in the Austin region moving to the north and the large concentration of major employers in the North Austin and Southern Williamson County area, additional meeting space in the proposed area would reduce leakage that was occurring. As a result, AngelouEconomics provided the client with three scenarios for creating a meeting center in Williamson County, and the effects each scenario would have on the need for meeting space in the region.
